Five Telugu Movies Releasing Today

Small budgeted films are in a rush once again. We have seen this hurry in releasing in the months of August and September when the movements were going great guns in the state of AP. The last month has seen many big releases and the small films have taken a retreat. Now it looks the time is on again since there are no big releases apart from Masala next week and 'Yevadu' announced for a mid December release.
Today there are as many as five Telugu films are seeing light with only Satya 2 casting a known hero Sharwanand but with the focal point being the director of the movie Ram Gopal Varma. The movie is a sequel to his 1998 cult hit Satya which had rewritten the way gangster movies were made in Bollywood. Satya 2 rides on the popularity of the director and the original work Satya. The promotional events, followup pressmeets,
everything was keenly observed by his fans who are in a huge number.
The second film that could give a stiff competition to Satya 2 is Kali Charan, a movie by Sri Praveen, an RGV protege himself. The movie casts Chaitanya Krishna and Chandini in the lead who have no bettings on them. But what rakes interest is the plot and the promotion. The period story of 1980s is very effectively publicized across the avenues and the ruffian look given to the film certainly raises eyebrows and creates curiosity. Need to wait and see how this curiosity will be translated into performance at the BO.
Chandi finally sees light today. After waiting in the dugout for over three months, the movie is finally released and the Priya Mani starrer is clearly for the masses, that too B and C quarters. Has a great ensemble of cast including Krishnam Raju, Sarath Kumar etc., the movie with its thigh thumping action sequences, might be the entertainer the masses are looking for.
Nenem Chinna Pillana is a D Rama Naidu production, directed by award winning filmmaker Sunil Kumar Reddy. While it failed to create any pre-release buzz, if the narration is good, might just catchup with the audiences.
Chinni Chinni Aasha is a small, meaningful film which targets the family audiences. Casts Tulasi and Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and is directed by a newbie. With the first two movies targeting youth and masses, this film, along with NCP could attract the family audiences.
