August 15th, Indian Independence Day, followed by the weekend, comes as a blessing to lot of small producers, with the political situation supporting their cause in a disguise. While big films have been postponed indefinitely succumbing to the 'T'roubles, many small producers have taken the advantage to release their films and fill the space. Here is an account of such films releasing tomorrow and a preview on the expectations on each of them.

Sushanth’s ‘Adda’, produced by Chintalapudi Srinivasa Rao and Naga Susheela and directed by newbie Karthik Reddy has been waiting for a while at the studios for the right day. Sushanth’s earlier films ‘Kalidas’ or ‘Current’ haven’t generated much interest, and this movie may not draw big openings either, and unless the movie gets very strong reviews for entertainment quotient, will be hard to pull it off.

Perhaps one movie that might walk away with the cake is ‘1000 Abadhdhalu’. It’s a comedy and directed by Teja. Though the movie per se doesn’t have great expectations, it might just make the most of the timing. Sairam Shankar and Naga Babu as the ‘Tower Star’ might just tickle the right bone and Esther might win the day’s ‘Most Beautiful’ trophy... Well, anything is possible with Teja.

‘Dhalam’ is another low budget film starring Naveen Chandra of Andala Rakshasi fame, directed by RGV’s disciple Jeevan Reddy. The film has created some interest when they launched the teaser of the film on the social media. The film might get some openings and if the film is any good, might even be a surprise hit.

‘Jagadguru Aadishankara’, the tale of 10th century saint who devoted his life for the protection of Hindu dharma is also releasing tomorrow. The movie has a great ensemble of casting including Nagarjuna, Mohan babu, Upendra, Sai Kumar, Sri Hari, Suman, Satyanarayana, Meena, Roja etc., most of them playing guest appearances. The film is directed by JK Bharavi, popular for writing the screenplays of biopics ‘Annamayya’, ‘Ramadaasu’, ‘Manjunatha’ etc. In spite of the cast, the movie doesn’t have great expectations among the filmgoers the film being a devotional saga.

While the Tamil dubbing film ‘Marina’ is also featured in the list of I-day releases, Rajendra Prasad starrer ‘Vasundhara Nilayam’ is coming on the 16th August. ‘Marina’ is a film about the characters around the Marina beach in Chennai and incidents in their lives. The film stars unknown faces and the movie has few takers.

And there is the Hindi blockbuster Akshaya Kumar, Imran Khan, Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara’ is also releasing tomorrow. With the casting, and the film’s prequel being a hige success, this film has already raked in huge interest among the audiences. This film will definitely give the Telugu films a run for their money, at least in cities.
