Gaayam-2 fame Sricharan is directed and producing a film under Sri Karunalayam productions banner, which is titled as 'Kalicharan'. Chaitanya, Chandini and Kavitha are playing the lead characters in this film.

The shooting of the film has been completed and the re recording work has started recently.

The director- producer said, " This film is being made based on a real incident happened in 80's. We have shooted the film almost in real locations. The action episodes will be very lively. We have shooted in the surroundings of Vikarabad, Mahabub nagar, Pochampalli and Hyderabad. The romance between hero and heroines will be very poetic".

Line producer Srinivas Jupalle said, " Famous Bhojpuri actor Pankaj Kesari will be seen as villain in this film. The songs and music in this movie by Nandhan Raj will attract. We are planning to release the songs in the first week of April and the movie in the last week".

Sanjeeva, Nagineedu, Vijayarani etc are the other cast.
