After a slew of flops, Ravi Teja badly needs a redeeming hit. Balupu, which sounds quite cheeky, may be his big savior. Directed by Gopichand Malineni of Don Seenu and Bodyguard fame, it has Shruthi Hassan and Anjali playing the female leads.

"It is full of action and entertaining like Don Seenu. Thaman's music is great,” the Mass Maharaja said in an event related with the film. His childhood friend, the very famous Prasad V Potluri, is the producer. “Ravi Teja has come up in life by his sheer perseverance. Gopichand has made the film in a better way than he had narrated", PVP said.

On his part, the director promised even better entertainment than the teaser has given. Shruthi said that the film is a RT mark film.
