In a press meet held today at CineMax in Hyderabad, RGV said that Boochi is about how a kid horrifies elders. "We usually see that elders terrify children. I have depicted in the film how it would be if a child horrifies elders. This is my first 3D film", he said.

He packaged his usual atheistic platitudes for the Nth time, saying that he belives in evil but not in God, because while the former makes itself know by making sounds, the latter doesn’t leave a single proof of his existence.

JD Chekravarthy said that he had moments of fear while watching the film. Manisha Koirala revealed that she was never shown how the Boochi looks like during the filming stage. She saw it only on the big screen for the first time.
