Lakshmi Prasanna is planning to release U Kodatara Ulikki Padatara on August 2. "There is a curiosity about the subject matter of the film. People are wondering whether it is a mass entertainer or a fantasy," the makers say. The title has, from the beginning, had a ring of comedy to it.

Mohan Babu is proud about the way the film has shaped up. "Lakshmi has spent ten times more money on this film than what she invested on Jhummandi Nadam. I am sure that this is going to be a big hit. It will create history for sure. Balakrishna's acting is amazing. Everyone is appreciating Manoj's performance. I was mesmerized on watching Lakshmi’s acting. The songs have got so much positive response. We are planning to celebrate triple platinum function soon," Babu said.

The film is being released on August 2 as a Raksha Bandhan gift. The day symbolises familial love and affection, says Lakshmi.

Deeksha Seth, Panchi Bora, Sonu Sood, Prabhu, Rishi and others are part of the cast. Cinematography is by Rajsekhar. Music is by Bobo Sashi. Sekhar Raja is the director.
