The 59th Idea Filmfare Awards 2011 (South) brought glory to Dookudu. The 2001 blockbuster won awards in six categories at this dazzling event held in Chennai on Sunday.

Mahesh Babu won the Best Actor Award. It is his third Filmfare, the first two being for Okkadu in 2003 and Pokiri in 2006. On receiving the Black Lady, Mahesh said with a glint in his eyes that the award was very special to him because it came after a wait of six years.

Sreenu Vytla received the Best Director award. As expected, SS Thaman bagged the Best Music Director Award.

If it was Brahmanandam at South Indian International Movie Awards, it was MS Narayana at Filmfare – he got the award in Best Supporting Actor Male category.

If it was the lyrics of Guruvaram March Okat at SIIMA, it was its singer Rahul Nambiyar at Filmfare - he won an award the Best Playback Singer Male award.
