The first audio CD of Daruvu was released by Brahmanandam, who handed it over to veteran actress and legislator Jayasudha. From what the makers and actors spoke at the audio launch, it appears that Daruvu is first a costume drama. Ravi Teja feels that the film is full of massy elements and action.

For a second time in less than a month, Brahmi will be seen as a dance master. If in Racha he was a Western-returned choreographer Rangeela, in Daruvu, he is playing a desi traditional natya guru, named as Vidya Balan.

Tapsee Pannu cannot wait to work with RT for a second time. "He is full of energy and enthusiasm. I liked working with Brahmanandam," she said. Shiva (director) likens his film to a wholesome sumptuous meal, while RT feels that the entertainment quotient lives up to the 'sound' of its title.

Daruvu, a socio-fantasy film, has music by Vijay Anthony. The lyrics were penned first, and Vijay set them to tunes only later.
