Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu was launched at Puri Jagannadh's office today. A puja ceremony was held in the presence of Pawan Kalyan, and the event was attended by Allu Arjun among others. Produced by DVV Danayya, the film will go on the floors come May. SS Rajamouli gave the clap to the first shot. Besides, Bandla Ganesh, BVSN Prasad, Ali and Gemini Kiran made it to the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Puri said, "I have tried to do a film with Pawan Kalyan, who gave me life by giving me the opportunity to direct him in Badri. My plans to make a film with him did not materialize somehow. This is my 25th film as director. This is the story of a news reporter. This is an action film. Regular shooting will begin from May 2nd week. The film will be released on October 18."

DVV Danayya's joy knows no bounds now that he is producing a movie with Pawan. He says that he is also happy to be working with Puri after Desa Muduru.

Kajal Agarwal is playing the role of female lead. CGTR also stars Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Ali, MS Narayana, Kota, Tanikella Bharani.
