How many of them would have the farsightedness (for want of a better word) to agree to go for an item song so early in career, even though many offers as leads are coming their way? Anjana Sukhani of Don Seenu has got that in her. She had looked for meaty roles ever since the release of Don Seenu, but none excited her so much. This was when RGV offered her a song in Bejawada, which she latched on to out of a desire to work with the ace director.

In retrospect, the budding actress took a very sagacious decision. This landed her an offer in Department, the Bollywood movie. She is working with RGV, who is this time in the capacity of a director. She has a seminal role in the film in relation to Daggubati Rana. Rana, who plays a police officer in the film, is constantly egged on by the heroine, who gives him emotional support through and through.

"The film focuses on the police system. Ram Gopal Varma is showing how they face the mafia in fighting them. I tried to learn something about the mafia before the shoot commenced", Anjana quips.
