When budding cinematographer Vijay Chakravarthy listened to the story of Oh My Friend, he had an unmistakable OMF moment. He took a nostalgic journey down the memory lane and happened to relish his brief but memorable friendship with a girl when he went on a tour as a 9th standard boy.

He says that this is how OMF has come to be so special for him. Though he became great friends with the girl in the 10 days when they toured there, he could never meet her again after they parted their ways after the tour ended.

Saying that he is choosy when it comes to selecting the films (in the last five years, he worked for only five films - Bommarillu, Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam, Parugu, Mr. Perfect and OMF). He says that youngsters are able to connect to OMF.

Praising the clarity of Venu Sreeram, he says that the director made it clear well in advance that the audience should feel that the story is taking place in their vicinity. Even the colors scheme was laid out in good detail.
