Watching Mogudu, one wonders if it was made by an amateurish debutante. Given the fact that the director has a proven track record when it comes to family-oriented films, we did expect a lot from Mogudu.

Krishna Vamsi has always had a way to deal with emotional drama. Mogudu, the audience feel, falls short on this yardstick as well. How does a director of his calibre hope to hinge the film on the concept of devotion to a husband?

The audience went to the theatres expecting a message-oriented Mogudu with loads of pleasant senti drama thrown in. What they found in the film, much to their horror, was a boisterous film with lots of slap dash melodrama.

Has Krishna Vamsi lost his midas touch?
