Play, a comic thriller

Krishna Varma had a serendipitous discovery when he found a map (a chart kind of thing, in his words) that was made by a Vijayanagaram lad way back some 15 years ago. He has written the script of Play, his forthcoming comic thriller, on the basis of this chart, by coupling some real-life incidents in his life.

The film is done with the shooting. It is currently in the stage of digital mixing. The genre of the film is interesting, given that comic thrillers are a rarity in Telugu.

Vijay, Tinath, Ashok, Angel Garewal, Sri Lakshmi and others are the star cast. Background score is by Ramana. Produced by Sathyam, the film has screenplay by the director himself.

The film is set to release in the last week of November.
