Janardhana Maharshi's Devasthanam is a human emotional drama. In the words of its director, it is a film which captures the drama that ensues between K Vishwanath, who is in-charge of a temple and SP Balasubrahmaniam who is playing a middle class man in the film. For the both, the temple is their hearth. Amani is playing an important role in the film. The spiritual-artistic movie is almost complete by 80%.

Shot in the backdrop of renowned and spiritually-significant temples of South India, the film will have an interesting theme. Accomplished artistes belonging to different fields will be seen in the movie.

An off-beat film, the film will have music by Svara Veenapani. Entirely shot in Chittoor, the director says that temple forms the leit motif of every scene in the film. Cinematography is by Suresh Kumar.

Amani is hopeful of making a glorious comeback through the meaningful role that she is donning here. It will be interesting to see Amani in a film where Kala Tapasvi and Gana Gandharva will be playing significant roles as well.
