Just as he predicted a windfall of profits (which he put at an all-time high of Rs. 40 cr.) after he watched Pokiri, which was co-produced by his daughter, Superstar Krishna got the prediction for Dookudu correct, if not accurate. As he came home after he watched the first show of the current sensation, he called up Mahesh and told him the movie would collect Rs. 80 cr. Only the movie is now expected to generate more than this amount. The veteran actor and proud father revised the amount: he now pegs it at a billion rupees.

Speaking at the success meet organised by Dookudu team at Novotel Hotel in Hyderabad, he said that the film is the best movie in Mahesh's career till date. Saying that Dookudu has got all the ingredients in it, he hailed his son's beautiful looks in the film.

The youngsters, women audience, and even children are loving the film a lot, he said.
