After much dilly-dallying, actor Ram finally bade goodbye to Gautham Menon's film. Titled as Nithya in Telugu, the actor's presence in a film directed by the top Kollywood director made news not only in Telugu, but also in Tamil. However, his association with the film was never smooth.

First, news broke out that he wanted to opt out due to the differences he had with Kandireega producer, Bellamkona Suresh, who was to release the film in Telugu. It was later reported that the logjam was resolved and Ram finally shot for some scenes.

In due course, it seems, Ram felt that the project will take much longer time than a usual film, the film being a tri-lingual. Meanwhile, the director said that Ram was never part of the movie in the first place.

The actor was all along happy to work with Menon. In his interactions with the media, he had said that it feels great to be part of Gautham's project. As it turns out, the actor will have to wait for some more time to bag a venture of Nithya's props. After all, it is an AR Rehman musical.
