Jiiva is playing hero in a heavy budget Tamil film 'Vandaan Vendran' and the same is being dubbed into Telugu and presented by KVV Satyanarayana with the title 'Vachchadu Gelichadu'.

The audio of the film was launched through Vega audio and is getting a positive response. The producer of the Telugu version K Venugopal says, 'Already the audio is getting a positive response. Thaman’s melodious tunes won all-round applause. Presently, re-recording is in progress and we are planning to release the film simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu languages.'

Satyanarayana says, 'Jiiva proved his calibre in 'Rangam' recently and is most likely to repeat the same magic in this film. He is playing a boxer in this movie. Young director Kannan moulded the character extraordinarily. Re-recording is nearing completion and mixing would be completed within a few days. We are making efforts to release the film in the first half of September. We are sure that the film would attract all classes of audiences.'

Taapsi played the female lead opposite Jiiva, while Nanda, Rehman, Santhanam, Rachana Mourya and others are in the cast. Dialogues are by Sashank, camera is by PG Muthaiah, while editing is by VT Vijayan. Story, screenplay and direction are handled by R Kannan.
