He may be growing as one of the most important character artistes who is being roped in to play comic villain, menacing villain, sadistic villain et al, but Sonu Sood has done the unthinkable. He has almost rejected the role of the villain in Pawan Kalyan's forthcoming film Gabbar Singh.

Well, here is the story. Sonu Sood was, not surprisingly, the first choice of the makers to reprise the villain's role which he had done in the original version in Hindi. Added to it, he is also doing the same role in the Tamil version of Dabgang (Vosthi). It is for this reason that he has refused to repeat the same act for the Telugu version.

In an interview given to a leading English daily, Sonu Sood said that he did not want to get repetitive which is why he declined the offer. He also said that shooting for Dabbang took him a whole year and the Tamil version has taken him 6 months time.

Harish Shankar will have to look for a face who can do justice to Sonu's difficult-to-reprise performance in the original.
