Adi Shankara is a film being written and directed by J.K. Bharavi. Produced by Global Peace Creators, the film has been in the making since Ugadi. In a stunning revelation, it has been blurted out that Yuvasamrat Nagarjuna will play an important role in the movie.
With Nagarjuna giving the nod to play the role, Bharavi's three-year dream of seeing Nag in that role has come true. In his own words, Bharavi had wanted to see his favourite actor in that role.
In a press note, Bharavi proudly said that Nag had felt that he was duty-bound to act in the film on the great Hindu seer Adi Sankara, who worked for the resuscitation of Sanatana Dharma, and that too in a character that had a life-changing influence on the Jagatguru.
Details about Nag's role have not been revealed. We guess that Nag will play Lord Shiva, who appeared before Sankara disguised as an untouchable.
Kaushik, Sri Hari, Sai Kumar, Suman, Jayaprada, Roshini, Roja, Tulasi, Anand, Naga Babu and others are the main cast. Music is by Nag Sri Vatsa. Gautham Raju is the editor. Bharavi is penning the dialogue and screenplay to the story which he had written long ago.
