These days periodical films have become the most sought-after subjects, especially after the tremendous success of 'Magadheera'. However, the films with such periodic subjects were not so successful, with 'Shakthi' becoming a disaster and 'Badrinath' just remained an average flick.

Nagarjuna is also doing one such film titled 'Damarukam'. It is learnt that Nag is playing the role of an auto driver in this socio-fantasy film, with Prakash Raj donning the role of Lord Siva. Anushka is playing the female lead and she too had some magical powers.

The shooting of the film is in progress and the fresh schedule is slated to begin from July 1 at Sarathi Studios in Hyderabad.

Abhimanyu Singh is playing a role with negative shades in this film which is made with the highest- ever budget than all other films in Nag's career. The film is being directed by Srinivasa Reddy and produced by Venkat of RR Movie Makers, with Achireddy being the presenter.

Meanwhile, 'Rajanna', that was coming up in Nagarjuna's own banner under the direction of Vijayendra Prasad is almost ready to wrap up its shooting and only a fight and a song remained balance.
