Srikant is taking part in the regular shooting of ‘Virodhi’ directed by Neelakanta and produced by Anil on the banner of Meka Movies. Presently, the shooting is in progress near Hampi.

The exact location is the forests in and around Gangavathi area, wherein some key scenes of the film are being shot, some 15 km away from Hampi.

Ajay and Kamal Kamaraju are playing the villains in the movie. The film would be on the lines of ‘Roja’ of Maniratnam and will have a backdrop of Naxalism.

Srikant is playing the role of a journalist in this movie. Neelakanta, who shot into limelight with films like ‘Show’ and ‘Missamma’ faded out with Box Office duds like ‘Nandanavanam 120 km’ and ‘Mr Medhavi’.

Neelakanta is committed to return to glory by making this film a big hit.
