It had been all glossy and glittering affair where icons of cinema had gathered to watch Rajinikanth-Aishwarya happening movie ‘Robot’. The stars Rajini, Big B, Dev Anand, Hema Malini, Aamir Khan, Dharmendra and all other biggies were there, when most unexpected thing happened.

Just 40-mins before the film’s end, the sound was completely disrupted, making it quite embarrassing situation for the film’s team, especially for the renowned sound designer Resul Pookutty.

In fact from the start of the film, Resul was suspicious about the sound quality and he later found out that three speakers were not working. Resul immediately was on the verge of stopping the show, but Aamir had advised against it owning to the presence of top stars. And towards the climax the sound crashed completely, confirming Pookutty’s concern.

Sources said that the team is now planning to sue the chain of theatres and also approach the government to specify quality-control methods to check sound systems in the multiplexes of Mumbai.

Finding the experience most harrowing, Pookutty is now going to seek justice on behalf of all the technicians of Indian cinema and the common people who spend good amount to watch films at multiplex. “All our hard work goes down the drain. I hope that the government makes certain guidelines for the exhibition sector of our film industry, or else their licenses should be cancelled. I believe that every viewer who spends money to watch a film should get the best and nothing less than that. The Robot show was a blatant example of the entire system and the problems in it,” quoted Pookutty to sources.

Resul said to have already taken the matter to Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association and soon he will be filing an RTI with the government.
