However, his biggest achievement in the period has been his winning the prestigious Nandi Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film 'Neninthe'.

The intense actor, known for doing justice to all the roles he does, won the award much to the celebration of his diretor Puri Jagannadh, who gave him the big break as hero with 'Itlu Sravani Subramanyam' and 'Idiot', in a row. SS Rajamouli was so impressed by his performance in 'Neninthe' that he rightly predicted that RT would romp home with the Nandi for the year.
