Apart from Nagarjuna-starrer film and Venkatesh-starrer Namo Venkatesha, there is another big ticket release for Sankranthi. It is Balakrishna's Simha. Its Executive Producer B Mahendra Babu has announced that the film will be released in January.

Directed by Boyapati Seenu who made films like Badra and Tulasi in the past, the film is being made under the banner United Movies. For Balakrishna, the film is significant especially because his last two films Okka Mogadu and Mitrudu sank without a trace.

After the film completes the shoot in Hyderabad by the end of the month, the unit will can the film in Vizag in the next month. Later, post-production work will be made.

Raghu, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Aditya Menon, K R Vijaya, Brahmanandam, Ali, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, L B Sriram, Krishna Bagawan are other actors.

Specially, the film has the Malayalam actor Sai Kumar playing villain.
