Gunnam Gangaraju's film Katha, starring Genelia along with a newcomer, is going to face competition from big releases. The low-budgeted film from the banner of Just Yellow is directed by Srinivasa Ranga, a debutante. It has a new face in the hero and is touted to be a romantic thriller.

However, it will have to clash with titans like 'Arya2', 'Pravarakhydu' and 'Bindaas' in the first weeks. The three films enjoy immense popularity among the masses.

Having said that, Katha cannot be written off. In the past, small films with good subjects, like Anand though released on the day of 'Shankardada MBBS', went about to play for 100 days.

It is hoped that 'Katha' will also succeed despite a clutter of releases in the coming months.
