'Homam–2' will see actor J.D. Chakravarthi debuting as director. The film has Jagapathi Babu and Mamta Mohandas playing the main roles.

This film is being produced by Koneru Kiran Kumar under the banner of Shreya productions. 'Homam – 2' had already hit the headlines sometime back when they released their logo and audio during the ICL Cricket final match at Hyderabad.

That sure is a good way for better publicity! This film is making headlines yet again!

The trend so far has been that, a sequel of a film will be released only after its first part hits the theatres. The crew will start discussing about a sequel only after a positive feedback from the public about the first part.

But this team is re-writing the history of sequel films with the second part gearing up for shooting even before the release of the first part! The director, J.D. Chakravarthi, has confirmed that the work for the sequel 'Homam-2' will start From August 2008.

They are even on the verge of fixing a title and the name being considered is 'Maarana Homam'. Reports also suggest that Ram Gopal Verma has provided with the basic script for the second part.

There is also news doing the rounds that 15 days of shooting for the sequel will take place in Pakistan.

Well this team should be lauded for two aspects; the first one being their immense confidence in their work – because planning a sequel even before the release of the first part is not an easy joke, and secondly for their innovative ideas!

We hope both the films are very successful with the audience, and we wish this team all success in both their projects.
