It is well aware that Surender Reddy is directing Princie Maheshbabu for 'Athidi' being produced by Rameshbabu on the banner of Krishna Productions.

Earlier, Prakash Raj was selected for the villain's role in the movie. However, it is learnt that Prakash Raj quit the project as he could not adjust the necessary dates and he was replaced by Bollywood artiste Murali Sharma of 'Apaharan'-fame.

It is reliably learnt that Manisharma scored melodious tunes to all the songs in the flick.

When it comes to the story, Mahesh Babu is said to be playing the role of a guest to a family. It may be recalled here that Maheshbabu, in his recent film Athadu also, played a similar role of playing a guest to a family.

However, the story of the film was said to have prepared to suit the image of Maheshbabu and at the same time, director Surender Reddy gave a good preference to family relations in moulding the subject.
