Directed by K Vijayabhaskar and produced by Sravanti Ravikishore on the banner of Sravanti Movies with Sumanth, Sada, Sunil, Sharvanand, Ravivarma and Kamalini Mukherjee in the lead roles was released on April 20.

The film began its run with a divided talk.

Producer Ravikishore says, 'The original film 'Classmates' in Malayalam was a big hit. We made certain changes to the original and remade the film in Telugu. We ensured that each scene in the film would be very near to real life. All those who watched the film are giving good remarks, with only one minus remark that comedy is missing in the film. In fact, we planned to portray the film differently. Everyone who watched our earlier film 'Nuvve Kaavali' said that it is an average film and run for three weeks but it was proved to be a big hit. I am hopeful that 'Classmates' would also become a hit and picks up slowly. I am planning my next film with 'Ram' of Jagadam'-fame.'
