The Telugu film industry had achieved good successes right from January last year. However, the success rate in 2007 was not that crazy.

A total of 30 films (including straight and dubbing) were released in a span of two months in January and February this year. Of them only 'Desamuduru' of Stylish Star Allu Arjun, and 'Yevadaithe Naakenti' of Dr Rajasekhar were proved commercially successful.

In January 12 films including six each from straight and dubbing movies. Of them only 'Desamuduru' was proved a big hit. However, a big film like 'Yogi' turned a flop. In February, 13 straight films and 8 dubbed films were released and of them Dr Rajasekhar's 'Yevadaithe Nakenti' was proved successful and gave a solace to the hero as he is craving for a big hit.

Though films like Notebook, Madhumasam, Anumanaspadam and Lakshmi Kalyanam had received an average talk, they proved week in getting good revenues and are not commercial hits.

The film pundits are expressing fear over the future of the Telugu cinema with the current trend giving wrong signals.
