Veerabhadra of Balakrishna proved a dud at Box-office in 2006. However, in the same year, he took another mega project 'Maharathi' under the direction of P Vasu and produced by Vakada Appa Rao on the banner of Sri Lalitha Kalanjali Productions.
The film is said to have done with a different concept and different from routine screenplay. Though the film completes its shooting some two months ago, the producer and director took two more months for the post-production works to avoid even a minute detail in the film.
The audio provided by Kannada music director Gurukiran in his debut venture was also proved a chart buster. Efforts are being made to release the film on January 10, 2007.
Now in the same year, Balakrishna launched another mega project to keep his fans in good mood. It is 'Okka Magadu' directed and produced by YVS Choudary, who gave successive hits in recent times. The film has started its regular shooting in Padmalaya Studios of Hyderabad and canning of two songs was already completed.
Now the unit is going to leave for Anantapur. It may be recalled here that Balakrishna had no notable hit after the blockbusters like 'Samarasimha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu'.
However, the fans of Balakrishna started celebrating the victory of 'Okka Magadu' even from the launch of shooting of the film. The director-cum-producer of the film is planning to release the film on April 28. Not only this, Balakrishna is also going to play a dual role in 'Rangaa Panduranga' as the lord and the devotee under the direction of K Raghavendra Rao.
The film is most likely to go to sets in March. Though Balakrishna fails to reap any benefit in 2006, he is going to appear in three different kinds of roles in 2007.
He is going to make 2007 as the year of Balakrishna with three mega projects like Maharathi, Okka Magaadu and Rangaa Panduranga.' There were high expectations on 'Okka Magaadu' among the fans of Balakrishna.
Indiaglitz also wishes Balakrishna would do wonders in 2007. All the best to Balakrishna and Indiaglitz wishes him a Happy New Year.
