The shooting of 'Maharathi' directed by P Vasu and produced by Vakada Appa Rao under the banner Sri Lalitha Kalanjali Productions with Balakrishna, Sneha and Meera Jasmine in the lead was held at Nainital, Hyderabad, Vizag and their surrounding areas with the erection of massive sets.

The heavy budget film touts its story as the highlight. It is learnt that Balakrishna is playing in three different dimensions as Bala, Krishna and Balayya. After a long gap, Jayaprada is playing a special role in this Telugu film.

It is also learnt that to some extent, Meera Jasmine's character will resemble Jyothika's role in Chandramukhi. Sneha has excelled as a family girl. The audio which has already hit the market, is creating ripples.

The film is all set for release very soon.
