Vishal, who won the hearts of Tamil as well as Telugu audiences with his performance in 'Prema Chadarangam' and 'Pandem Kodi, had paired up with Reema Sen and Shriya Reddy for 'Pogaru'. The successful Tamil film 'Thimiru' directed by Tarun Gopi had been dubbed into Telugu as 'Pogaru' by Vikram Krishna.
The audio of the Telugu version 'Pogaru' was released into the market on October 8 amidst several top film personalities, besides the film unit members at Film Chamber in Hyderabad. RP Patnaik attended the programme as chief guest and unveiled the audio and handed over the first audio cassette to hero Vishal. Producer Vikram Kishna, Navneet Kaur, Shriya Reddy, noted pop singer Smitha, singer Raghu Kunche attended the programme.
Hero Vishal says, 'My first film 'Prema Chadarangam' was dubbed into Telugu and was released through our banner. Though it was a big hit in Tamil, it failed to reach our expectations in Telugu. Later, 'Pandem Kodi' was again a hit in Tamil and we thought of giving the dubbing rights to others. But several producers started giving fancy rates for remake rights of the film. So, my father advised us to dub the film on our own in Telugu. He predicted that the film would be a hit in Telugu also and it was proved true. I wish my latest film 'Pogaru' directed by Tarun Gopi would also be a biggest success like 'Pandem Kodi'. Moreover, music given by Yuvan Shankar Raja would definitely enthrall the audiences. Director Tarun Gopi had mixed all his talent and brought out this film. It is a mass, action-oriented film besides a good entertainer. I am sure that the Telugu audiences would definitely like it.'
Music director RP Patnaik says, 'Everyone knows how big hit is 'Pandem Kodi' audio. There is no need to mention about Yuvan Shankar Raja's talent. I am sure that the 'Pogaru' audio would also be a big hit. Already it was proved in Tamil that the audio was a super hit. The same trend will continue in Telugu as well. I also wish the film a bit hit.'
Film's producer GK Reddy could not attend the programme due to unavoidable circumstances. So, a letter sent by him was read out by Raghu Kunche. In the letter he says, 'Films like 'Prema Chadaramgam' and 'Pandem Kodi' Produced by my elder son Vikram Krishna with my younger son Vishal as hero were proved big hits in Telugu. I wish the third film 'Pogaru' would also be a big hit and create a hat trick. Direction by Tarun Gopi and music by Yuvan Shankar Raja would take the film towards a victory path. I thank the Telugu audiences, who made our earlier films a big hit. I also wish that they would continue to extend their support for the winning streak.'
