After Godavari’s success, Sumanth had the chance to take stock of his career.

He understood what worked for him and what kind of roles suited him.

The birth of that realization has made him very focused on the choice of the films that he did.

The new movie he is doing, Chinnodu is a reflection of his now growing maturity.

Directed by the talented and sensitive Kanmani, Chinnodu will be another good movie from Sumanth.

Charmi plays the heroine. Chandra Mohan, Brahmanandam, Ali, Venu Madhav, Dharmavarapu and MS Narayana are also in the cast.

Produced by Lokesh Dutt and CV Srikanth, the film’s top names met the press yesterday. And all eyes were Sumanth for obvious reasons.

Sumanth, who has now a very soft image, said the film is about real people in real situations. But it is also a film with all the commercial elements. In other words, it will be a complete entertainer without being pretentious.

Chinnodu in a sense reflects Sumanth’s maturity. Chinna the name of the character he plays and hence Chinnodu.

Both Sumanth and Kanmani spoke in big terms about the climax. The way they put it made you eager to see it at once.

But producer Lokesh Dutt said you had to wait till Vijaya Dasami, when the film is planned to be released.
