There was no shooting in Tollywood today as a mark of respect to Kamalakar, the assistant cameraman who dies at the Sainikudu shoot yesterday.

The Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce has also expressed shock and grief at the death of Kamalakar.

The assistant cameraman was electrocuted during the shooting of film 'Sainikudu' starring Mahesh Babu at Devaryamjal on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Friday.

Kamalakar was an employee of the Ramoji Film City and taking part in the film shooting at Radhika Gardens.

Sets of miniature buildings and lights were kept in a pool. More than half of the five-foot-deep pool was filled with water. Some 20 to 25 members of the film crew were inside the pool making final arrangements for the shooting around 1.30 p.m. when they suffered an electric shock. While all the film crew members managed to scamper out of the pool, Kamalakar slipped and fell into it.
