Ravi Teja’s hour of reckoning is nigh. The mass hero’s big test is up next week.

His film Shock is set for release for early February.

Ram Gopal Varma, Suresh Kondeti's production Shock is directed by Harish Shankar. Jyothika and Tabu play the female leads.

The movie originally set for release on 26 January, which is also Ravi Teja’s birthday, got postponed.

Ravi Teja feels that his birthday present is just delayed. He feels the movie has all the makings of a winner.

The man with robust good looks and a straight-from-the-heart acting style has won a name for himself among the masses.

He says it was a dream come true to act in a film for Ram Gopal Verma. Ravi Teja who was an assistant director (to Krishna Vamsi) before has come a long way since then.

It was his performance in Idiot that won the heart of R G Verma.

Ravi Teja says that the story of shock, provided by Verma, will have his stamp. But the director Harish has developed it brilliantly. ‘Shock has all commercial ingredients. It is a taut thriller’, he says.

Now the suspense for Ravi Teja is whether it will work with his mass audience.
