The season of cinema is slowly upon us.

The Sankranthi D-day is fast approaching and all the films scheduled for release on the occasion is slowly gearing up.

Initially, there were six films set to take the starting blocks. And that were Venkatesh’s Lakshmi, Siddharth’s Chukkallo Chandrudu, YVS Chowdary’s Devadasu, Lawrence Raghavender’s Style, late Konda’s Kokila and SVK’s Sarada Saradaga.

But before the starter’s gun could go, SVK’s Sarada Saradaga, starring Rajendra Prasad, Srikanth, Siva Balaji, Sindhu Tolani, Ruthika seems to have cried off from the race.

The film, according to sources, stands postpones to another day in the same month. Apparently there are still some finishing touches to be given.

Meanwhile, there is an air of expectancy as the films line up for the race.

The most anticipated among the lot is obviously Venkatesh’s Lakshmi for obvious reasons.

Style also has some hope riding on it while Chukkallo Chandrudu has set the youths and urban audience licking with anticipation. The music has been a zinger and may get to become the NVNV of this year.

Kokila (previously Clean Bowled) and Devadasu are also no pushovers.

So, may the best film win.
