The Indian cricket team may have stopped playing in Sharjah. The place itself may have lost its prominence as a off-shore international cricket venue.

But Sharjah is not totally forgotten. At least the Telugu filmdom remembers its the news is that the Andhra Pradesh Film Employees Federation will play the ‘NTR and MGR Memorial Cup’ in Sharjah on 27 January.

Reports say that top Telugu and Tamil stars would play in this exhibition event. The proceeds of this match would go to AP Film Employees Federation and Telugu Gulf Association.
