The Athadu release date is becoming something of snakes and ladders game. One day it slithers down. And another it climbs up.

After announcing the film to be released in the first week of August, the producers eventually shifted it to the second week. Then they announced it to be on August 12th. This date was maintained for some time. Now, suddenly they turn around and say that the film will indeed be released by August 10th itself.

Anyway, don't believe us and wait till the film makes it to the theaters.

Though Athadu's release date has been advanced, the film has allegedly run into some controversies.

Some reports suggest that a distributor has move the AP Film Chamber to hold the film's release as the producer Jayabheri Kishore owed him some money in a previous transaction.

Despite all this confusion and controversy, Mahesh Babu, the film's hero, is quietly confident that he will come roaring back into contention through Athadu.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film has Trisha as the heroine. Mani Sharma's music is already a hit.
