There comes a time in everyone's career wherein the choice before is very difficult.

Unless one took the hard path, salvation is difficult.

Venkatesh is in one such situation. He has had a mixed year. Sankranthi was a okay runner. But Subhash Chandra Bose was a colossal dud.

Failures and success are part of the film world, and Venkatesh wouldn't exactly mind that.

But the larger point of worry for Venkatesh is that his hold on the box office seems to be slowly weakening.

This talented star these days looks wan and wry --- all sure signs of mid-career blues and overall lethargy.

Venkatesh's problems are simple. He has to just pick roles that suit his age. In Subhash Chandra Bose he looked pathetic with two heroines who were almost half of his age.

This is a conundrum all heroes will have to face. The shrewd ones make up their mind quickly. The tardy ones dawdle and get exposed.

But Venky is a shrewd cookie, and that is why he has taken time off before his next project. The recharge of batteries and new mental outlook will do him a world of good.

And Tollywood needs Venky to fire on all cylinders.
