Catching them young has lot of advantages, and disadvantages, too.

Ask any senior hero, he will explain you why.

Young heroines, who have been given space and position by these very same heroes, now seem to be very reluctant to act with the older pros.

Actresses like Trisha, Genelia have in fact made it clear that they will not shake their legs with any greying actor. They say that it affects their own image.

They also cite the example of Shriya who did not mind acting with eniorts in the industry. But when her career is in doldrums, there is none to rescue her. Young heroes are now reluctant to pair up with Shriya as she has run her course with the likes of Chiru and Nags.

So Shriya's predicament is putting off other heroines.

Though only Trisha and Genelia have put it into practice, a few other nubile Mumbai babes are known to have spurned offers from top heroes.

But with Mumbai girls being slightly more professional (read more astute in money matters), they jack up their price for acting with older heroes. Katerina Kaif charging nearly Rs.75 lakh to act with Balakrishna, is a good example.

Old, in such cases, literally leads to gold.
