Trust a Chiranjeevi film launch to be a star spangled show. In fact, it was much more than that at the launch of Jai Chiranjeeva. It was a kind of clarion cry consistent with the success of the megastar in the industry for such a long time.

The film was launched at the historical Ramanaidu studios with producer Ashwini Dutt pulling out all stops for grand beginning.

Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was the chief guest. Union minister Dasari Narayana Rao, Member of Parliament T Subbarami Reddy, heroes Venkatesh, Srikanth, heroines in the film - Bhoomika, Sameera Reddy, Genelia D'souza lead the list of celebrities.

Quite fittingly, Chiru presented fragrance-filled roses to the two heroines to kick start the shooting. While Nara Chandra Babu Naidu clapped the board, Venkatesh switched on the camera and T SubbiRami Reddy directed the first shot.

The director Vijaya Bhasker said the film would be a complete entertainment package ( comedy, action and sentiments) while writer Trivikram Srinivas felt there would plenty of things that would satisfy Chiru's fans.

The film is to be shot mostly in the USA. A start spangled show, as we said, really.
