After all the hullabaloo and hype, the Andhra Pradesh government has indeed passed a bill in the Assembly to curb the menace of the video piracy. The Bill specifies that video piracy will be treated as a criminal offence.
Naturally, the film industry, which was just a few weeks ago outraged over the issue, is now singing a different tune.
The Film Chamber of Andhra Pradesh's G Adi Seshagiri Rao said that the industry was indebted to the State government.
MAA president Mohan Babu said the government has saved the small producers and the industry as a whole.
