The buzz surrounding the latest poster (an infant being lifted from the sea) of Rajamouli`s forthcoming film Baahubali is getting bigger. Less than 24 hours after the release of the first poster, the maverick director has been targeted for plagiarism.
Netizens had it saying that the pic resembles the poster of 1998 American-comedy "Simon Birch", which holds a similar theme "Destiny has big plans for Simon Birch".
In Mahabharata, while crossing river Yamuna, even Sri Krishna (as an infant) was held over the head from the surface of the water (Yamuna), which was turbulent due to fierce winds and rain.
Similarly, the source for the poster of the American film (Simon Birch) could be Mahabharata. We need to understand that filmmakers, who follow history well, are moved from such epic moments and will only glorify scenes according to their plot lines, and not plagiarize.
After all, it's not plagiarism... it`s our history guys...
