Director Teja is never away from controversy or trouble.

But in a sense, that is also what drives him forward.

It had better. For, his new film Dhairiyam has run into major hassles. According to industry grapevine, the producers (Sunil Narang and Naryana Das) are said to be unhappy with the film.

The movie, reportedly a take off on Tamil Sullan (which itself was a disaster), has not impressed the distributors as it revolves on the rich girl-poor boy theme. Further, there have been too many films on the same idea for the distributors to feel safe. But more than anything else, those who have seen the rushes of the film, say there was no coherence in the script and everything was disjointed.

Teja, it is being reported, wants to re-do some of the scenes, but the producers are not willing. It is here where the famed tenacity of Teja is coming into play. Rather take it is a lost cause, he is said to be pursuing the movie with a zeal that is quite unique to him. He does not want to let slip the film. Sources say though the director is upset he has not lost hope. At worst, the film may be delayed. But would surely hit the theaters. "I will not let my efforts go waste," the director reportedly said.

The film features Nitin and Raima Sen and was set for V-Day release.
