Talented actresses are always encouraged by Telugu film industry and audiences. Some may say that Tollywood is a male dominated industry, but they should remember that many actresses like Savithri, Sridevi, Jayapradha, Jayasudha, Soundarya etc enjoyed huge stardom equal to star heroes.

Even this generation actresses like Anushka, Samantha etc are enjoying stardom. Of course, there are some commercial films in which heroines appear only in songs and a few scenes, but Tollywood has witnessed many female oriented films releasing of late. Gunasekhar is spending 70 crores on a project revolving around Anushka. It shows that actresses are also given preference equal to that of heroes in Tollywood.

But some heroines, who are not able to grab opportunities in Telugu, are trying to show their frustration on our industry after getting popular in other languages. Earlier Ileana commented on Tollywood as a male dominated industry, after doing a film in Hindi. But she has no offers there now and is contemplating on returning to Tollywood.

Now the latest to join this list is Radhika Apte. After acting in 'Raktha Charithra', which was released in 2010, no one approached her for nearly four years and she was offered a chance to pair up with Balakrishna in 'Legend'. 'Legend' was released exactly a year ago and Radhika is only doing 'Lion' in Telugu at present.

As she has been getting popular in other languages with some hits and as she hasn't signed any other new film in Telugu yet, she is now making some baseless comments on Tollywood and saying that she is no longer interested in working for Telugu films.

Now the question is even if she doesn't act in Telugu, will someone care ?
