The 62nd National Film Awards for the year 2014 are announced today and 'Chandamama Kathalu', directed by Praveen Sattaru and produced by Chanakya Bhooneti, won the National Award as the best Telugu film.
'Silent Cinema', written by Pasupuleti Purnachandra Rao, won the best writing on cinema award.
'Chandamama Kathalu', starring Lakshmi Manchu, Aamani, Naresh, Krishnudu, Chaitanya Krishna, Naga Shourya etc, was critically acclaimed.
Kangana Ranaut won the best actress award for her performance in the movie 'Queen' and Kannada actor Vijay won the best actor award for his perfomance in the movie
