We've seen many comedian turned lead actors. But not many of them have dared to leave comic roles to become a full time hero.

But Sunil's passion for acting made him a good lead actor. Though many criticized him for not playing a comedian of late, he is listening only to his heart. Sunil ruled the industry as one of the most sought after comedians for few years. At one point of his career, many have predicted that he will surpass the likes of Brahmanandam to become the top comedian in Tollywood. But Sunil thought otherwise. He opted for playing only lead roles after 'Maryada Ramanna'.

Though Sunil has been going through a rough patch in his career, he is confident of a bounce back. He is currently acting in a film directed by 'Josh' fame Vasu Varma. He will be soon working with Gopimohan, in the latter's debut film as director. Sunil's film with 'Raksha' fame Vamsi Krishna Akella has been recently finalized and will go to floors soon.
