If there were a contest for Ms. Beautiful Smile among actresses, then Laila would win it hands down.

It is not just that she has pearly white teeth and a beautiful visage to go with it. The sugary sweetness of her smile is because of something else. It is because it comes from her heart. And it is because her heart is light and clean.

Sweet smile and light heart notwithstanding, Laila's film career is stuck in rotating grooves. She is not going anywhere.

And that's mystifying. For, she has done some crusty characters in both Tamil and Telugu. But somehow, the big leap has not come.

Laila hopes that Mr & Mrs Sailaja Krishnamurthy would provide just that.

The film is all set for release this month. Directed by Siva Nageswara Rao, and featuring Sivaji as the hero, the film is make or mar one for Laila.

But she is confident that she will pull it off. "After all, hope is the chief sustenance of life," she says a tad philosophically. "It is a cuter story with plenty f heart-tugging moments in it," she says.

Laila also has Arjun's Rowdy Collector (name changed now) and a couple of films in Tamil.

But she is sold out on Mr & Mrs Sailaja Krishnamurthy. She says: 'You will enjoy every moment of it. It will keep bringing a smile on to your face".

Much like Laila herself, some would say.
