'Rey', the film that has Sai Dharam Tej, the nephew of Chiranjeevi making his debut, Produced and directed by YVS Chowdary who has an apetite for marathon productions is finally finished and has launched its first and second looks, theatrical amnd internet trailers earlier which the Mega Fans have embraced with love. Friday the 17th January saw the audio of the film launched at a gala event and glorious crowd chanting the 'Power Mantra' all over.
Pawan Kalyan was in the air... before and after he's arrived. As self-confessed by YVS Chowdary several times before while talking about the film, the debutant's histrionics were designed with Pawan Kalyan's body lingo in mind. All the songs, dialogue delivery and styling was obviously in line with the Power fans and their tastes.
Of course the audio was launched, of course the guests and team members spoke and of course there were electrifying performances on the stage right thru the evening but the entire event was clearly built around the one man Pawan kalyan.
Going into the details...
As has been a practice, Songs were launched by Vijaya, sister of Chiranjeevi and mother of Sai Dharam Tej, Ramesh Prasad, MD, Prasad Labs, Producer Gemini Kiran, Sujana Chowdary and Choreographer Prem Rakshit.
Ali: YVS Chowdary yearns for quality and that's why his marathon productions. This film took so long coz he wanted the film to have the standards of Mega Star and Power Star's blockbuster films. I did an important character of 'Lungi Baba', son of 'Langa Baba' and will entertain you to the hilt.
Chandra Bose praised YVS Chowdary as a director with clarity and he didn't take much time to give the lyrics for the songs. His combination with YVS and Chakri in 'Devadasu' has been a super hit earlier and will repeat again. He concluded saying the Sai Dharam Tej is here to stay because of his attotude and behavior.
Sayami Kher the niece of veteran Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi and making her debut with the film said she is floored by the ovation and adoration the Mega Family has got in Tollywood. She added 'I thank the producer, director and my mentor YVS Chowdary for giving me such big launch of my career, Sai Dharam tej for being such wonderful co-star and so humble in spite of being from the Mega family of TFI, everyone in the cast and crew for taking a great care of me thru the production'
Shradhdha Das thanked each of the Mega fans and said she is elated to be in the film. Thanked YVS for the glamorous role and co-stars Sayami and Sai Dharam for the support.
'Learnt From Observing My Uncle Trio': Sai Dharam Tej
Sai Dharam Tej thanked the cast and crew of the film and gave a special bow to his Uncle Pawan Kalyan for taking time out to attend the event, being there throughout as an inspiration for him and said he dedicated the film 'Rey The Shout For Success' to him. He then thanked the producer-director Chowdary for giving him such a huge launch. He said he would be indebted to him for life. His thanks then went to the composer, lyricist and all the other crew members.
"I learnt discipline and hardwork from Chiranjeevi, simplicity and smile from Naga Babu and dedication and conviction from Pawan Kalyan. This I learnt from them watching and observing them all thru my life. I can only say that I will not disappoint you'
First NTR, The Pawan Kalyan: YVS Chowdary
YVS Chowdary said 'I entered the film industry inspired by the divine blessings of Late NTR and his inspiration gave me the spirit to become a director. And then I saw Pawan kalyan on a poster about twenty years ago at exactly the time when I was searching for my hero for my first film. The lanky mysterious lad standing to the wall triggered an unimaginable electricity in me which motivated me to approach Chiranjeevi but unfortunately, the project never materialized.
But I never let the passion go. You can see that I try to induce each of my heroes with the same energy and style of the Power Star. I always tried to give my audio CD to him for his opinion coz I always believed that he's got a great ear for good and trendy music. It's not easy to have a brother like Mega Star who defined song and dance in Telugu and still have his own style. That's Power Star for me, the humanism, the trust, the honesty... That's Pawanism for you...
Sai Dharam Tej is a missile: YVS Chowdary
Sai Dharam Tej is the missile that I could grab for my movie. The Carribbean character which he did has suited him perfectly and you will see the best of Chiru, Pawan Kalyan and Naga Babu in him. He has got a great future for him. All the team members including Sayami Kher, Shradhdha Das, crew including Chakri, Chandra Bose etc have supported me throughout the production. I especially thank the fans for standing with me in times of hardships.
'I Just Introduced Tej To YVS': Pawan Kalyan
Pawan Kalyan: Tej asked me one day if he could come into acting. I told him that he should have that drive and passion to make it successful in any career. So, I introduced him to some acting coaches in Mumbai and in Hyderabad. Parallelly when YVS Chowdary came to me with an idea of launching him to the screen, I helped them with an introduction. That's it and everything is their own efforts.
I know YVS Chowdary as a stubborn and quality conscious filmmaker. He doesn't lose an iota of confidence however testing the times are. I love Chakri's music for his foot-tapping tunes and Chandra Bose's lyrics for their depth. I wish the entire team a huge success and stand out in the industry.
'Fresh Blood Should Cleanse The Industry': Pawan kalyan
I always believed that new blood should come to the industry. Not just my family but from everywhere. I hate bringing the family name into the industry. The industry doesn't belong to any one family and that includes my family.
