For some time now, there was a title row on the film ‘Purampokku’ between both UTV banner and Natraj Subramaniam. Each of them claimed that the name belonged to them and they had got it registered with Producer’s Council as well as with Guild.

However latest development is that UTV has come out with confirmation that the title ‘Purampokku’ is very much theirs and through an official statement the production house made it clear that the title has been retained by them.

Clarifying on this issue, the production team said in the statement, “There were speculations about whether the title Purampokku belong to us or not. We wish to clarify that the title is retained by us and the same was confirmed by South Indian Film Chamber, Tamil Film Producers Council and Film & Television Producers’ Guild. Hence, no more confusion and we retain the title for the film from writer-Director S.P. Jhananathan as Purampokku- No Man’s Land starring Arya & Vijay Sethupathi. A few more top artistes are going to join the team and shall keep you updated along with the entire technicians list soon.”
